Don’t you dare look out your window, darling, everything’s on fire.
All I see in this fandom lately is an obsession over Team Gale or Team Peeta.
What is with you people.
The books are not about which guy Katniss ends up with. This is not twilight.
Its about fighting against something bigger than yourself, fighting for your life, and for your freedom. Its about believing you can overcome something bigger than yourself.
I mean, I love to quote the cute, lovey things that Peeta says too, like the whole “real or not real” stuff, and when Peeta and Katniss are talking about their nightmares, but really guys, we all know that this is not the most important part of the book.
If you think it is, you need to grow the fuck up and reread the books. Cry when Katniss volunteers for Prim and not when she breaks Peeta’s heart. Cry during that moment right before the Quarter Quell begins because that moment with Cinna (and I’m not going to say what it is because that would be a major spoiler), that moment is what this series is about.
i follow some amazing HG blogs, but if you want some quality hunger games on your dashboard, follow nightlockk.
It’s important to not forget the real meaning behind the books. Kids are being murdered because of their government, and if you can’t relate that to our world right now, you need to think a little harder.
Here your dreams are sweet and tomorrow brings them true.
Here is the place where I love you.
Are you, are you
Coming to the tree
Wear a necklace of rope, side by side with me.
Strange things did happen here
No stranger would it be
If we met up at midnight in the hanging tree
Gale asked to be dropped off in 12 with me, but he didn’t force the issue when I refused his company. He understands I don’t want anyone with me today. Not even him. Some walks you have to take alone.

“You should wake me,” I say, thinking about how I can interrupt his sleep two or three times on a bad night. About how long it can take to calm me down.
“It’s not necessary. My nightmares are usually about losing you,” he says. “I’m okay once I realize you’re here.”
